STP & Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington
Stone Temple Pilots and Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington Firing it UP in the studio while Scott Weiland is on … well, he’s gone. Yes, it’s been a while since you’ve seen a post on soddermusic.com reporting on that which dwells outside the realm of Sodder-dom, but every once in a while I still get the itch that begs for a good scratching.
According to LoudWire.com Bennington took the stage at KROQ’s 2013 Weenie Roast alongside the 3 Bad-Ass STP members as they proceeded to rein rock down from the heavens upon a delighted and unexpected crowd. I personally think it ranks high on the awesometer (ah-s-om-eter : an instrument devised to measure the overall awesomeness of a particular area or event) to have Bennington rock alongside that of STP and I’m not alone. Dean DeLeo (STP Guitarist) was quoted as follows: “Chester has a one-of-a-kind voice that we’ve admired for a long time. We know Linkin Park will always be his priority, but we thought it would be cool to try something together. We managed to find the time to record a song and we’re all really happy with the result.” (LoudWire.com).
It’s also been a life long dream of Chester’s to step into the position with STP as he admitted, “I’ve loved STP since I was 13 years old and they’ve had a huge influence on me. When the opportunity came up to do something creative with them, I jumped at the chance. The guys in Linkin Park have been incredibly supportive of me undertaking this project while I’ve continued to work on new music with LP.” (LoudWire.com)
Go ahead and take a gander at the video below to see Bennington and STP in the studio, which is where Sodder will be coming July 8th (had to trhough that in):

Brian Bosworth and Sodder
Sodder got the opportunity to stand in the lime-light with one of Oklahoma Universities greatest players …. Brian “The Boz” Bosworth. After layin’ the smackdown on a large portion of unfortunate
souls that dared to carry a football into his territory, Brian eventually took to the big ole Silver Screen. He has notably adorned his resume with such films as “Stone Cold”, “Three Kings”, “The Longest Yard”, and many more! Now he has hit the road promoting a newly released movie that has laid revelationary smackdown upon him.
The new movie, “Revelation Road“, allowed Brian an opportunity to play a character that he came to learn was much like himself, holding an abundance of inner turmoil pointing him in a direction of emotional solitude that projected itself upon the world in an undeniably cruel way. The making of the movie for Brian was not just a job standing in front of a camera as you slip into a character and begin to entertain the masses. The script had an impact on “The Boz” …. an impact that was destined to change the man and release him from his solitude.
If you get a chance to visit a showing of the film as Brian hits the road of promotion throughout Oklahoma, then I’d recommend stopping by and having a chat, listen to Brian’s story, and enjoy the film. I don’t know about you, but experiencing the after-effects of any individual’s positive fundamental change is both gratifying and calming. Brian … Sodder wishes you and Morgan the very best!!!
