Katy Perry on Fast Friends

When it comes to friends Katy Perry has standards.  “Music-News” caught up with Katy Perry as she was promoting her re-release of “Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection”.  She stated how she really enjoys traveling with her friends and how important it is to have good friends around.  However, she cautions on the “Fast-Friend” approach that others seem to gravitate toward, and stated that her friends have to “Prove themselves”.

So what’s your take on the friend proof?

Katy Perry

Personally I tend to agree and lean well to this side of friend ideology.  Not that I have an obstacle course of physical and mental challenges that separate friends from acquaintances, but I am slow to open up to new people.  I’m often accused of being too quiet when I’m around new people and … to a degree I would agree with that.  I am quiet, but that is only because I tend to listen and observe people, kind of a ….. hands on research role if you will.  I like the Jackie Chan quote in Rush Hour when he said “I just listen so I can find out how full of shit you really are.” LOL … love that line.

In some instances in life I do think that people are far to trusting of new comers and this leads them to hang out with people that may not have a significant weight of morals and ethics in their decision making.  This leads to bad choices and when you’re a little too trusting you get caught up in those bad choices.

So, in conclusion.  I’d say don’t be too judgemental of other people, but do be patient and somewhat picky.  You may be labeled as a “stuck up”, but at least your not labeled as a  “dumbass”!
